An Epidemic of underactive Thyroid – how to detect it yourself

Underactive thyroid and how to detect it yourself.

thyroid gland

The Thyroid gland is located in the front of our middle neck and it’s one of the most important organs of our body. It governs the whole metabolism and protects us from environmental pollutants. It affects every aspect of our being, from fertility and conception, all the way to the grave.Environmental toxins have a huge impact on our hormonal balance, particularly Thyroid. Among them food contamination, water and air pollution put enormous strain on thyroid and contribute to its damage. The toxic chemicals known to affect Thyroid function include:
• PCBs used in lubricants, hydraulic fluids, inks, paints and varnishes, adhesives and nonflammable products.
• Dioxins formed during the production of chlorine containing chemicals such as pesticides, PVC plastics, paper bleaching and diesel-engine exhaust.
• HCB, fungicide used on grains, industrial by-product in chlorination processes and manufacture of solvents.
• Aminotriazole in herbicides absorbed by commercially grown food.
• Phthalates used in plastic, hair sprays, dyes, cosmetics, adhesives, oily perfumes and lubricants.
• DDT and its derivatives are insecticides
• Lead included in paint, solder, lead pipes, some China ceramic cookware and some calcium supplements. Lead is used in batteries, vinyl, stained glass.
• Arsenic can be found in wood preservatives, paints and pigments. Grapes, green salads are often sprayed with arsenic containing pesticides.
• Mercury ranks highly among the most poisonous threats to life. Coal-fired plants, municipal and medical waste auto exhaust pollute mercury. Fungicides, pesticides, drinking water, processed food, mascara, floor waxes and polishes, adhesives, wood preservatives are possible sources of exposure. All vaccines and amalgam fillings contain dangerous amounts of mercury.
• Mold, viruses and bacteria and much more unlisted here.

Symptoms of underactive Thyroid:

The long term complications of underactive Thyroid include: high blood pressure, heart attack/stroke, MS, arthritis/gout, osteoporosis, cystic breasts/ovaries or increased risk of developing diabetes, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and cancer.
Modern medicine has adopted the TSH as the “GOLD STANDARD”. If the TSH is normal in your blood test, the search for hypothyroidism usually ends. There are number of studies proving that the TSH test often doesn’t diagnose underactive Thyroid correctly. Unfortunately, several generations of primary care physicians and endocrinologists have been trained to treat blood tests and not the patients.

Since Thyroid is responsible for our metabolism it will also influence our body temperature called The Basal Temperature which, along with our symptoms, can be an easy way to determine status of our Thyroid.

How to check The Basal Temperature

Our basal temperature should be taken after a good night rest with no food, exercise, nor excitement for 12 hours. Several days of basal temperature measurements are recommended. The thermometer is placed snugly in the armpit for 10 minutes before arising in the morning. Temperature reading 36.6 to 36.8 are considering normal. Readings below 36.6 are highly indicative of hypothyroidism.
Women’s temperature fluctuates during their menstrual cycle and their tests should be taken on the second and third days after menstrual flow starts. After menopause or before puberty, woman’s temperature may be taken on any day.
Toxins that are usually trapped in Thyroid tissue hamper its function influencing the whole body.
Luckily, Cyber Scan can also detect and efficiently remove toxins causing the hypothyroidism.
Individually designed detoxification plan can clean Thyroid cells and regenerate the organ to function healthy again and gives you back your vitality and quality of live you deserve.
